Bird box
Make the most of your nature crafting session by building a bird box – take it home or put it up in our Scottish Borders woodland
The south of Scotland is home to a remarkable range of wildlife, including red squirrels, grey seals, golden eagle and red kite.
Join an experienced wildlife ranger as we head out in search of the best wildlife experiences in southern Scotland that the season has to offer.
From ospreys to seal pups, this full day experience can be tailored to offer the best wildlife viewing opportunities for the season.
We might head out into the glorious scenery of the Southern Uplands in search of osprey and eagle, or head for the coast to look for new born seal pups and watch gannet’s plunging into the waves.
Your wildlife ranger will let you know what the best opportunities are depending on the season and the day’s weather. We can head out onto the water too if you’d like to see more of the sea life of the east coast (additional boat fees will apply and can be paid direct to the operator – we’ll book your place and our ranger will accompany you).
Prices start at £450. Please contact us to let us know your requirements and to get a quote.
We offer these experiences to cover the cost of our community nature and wildlife projects. All profits go back into the community interest company to enable us to continue to operate the Mauldsheugh Wood community widllife project in Selkirk, along with nature club, school visits and collaborations with other community groups.
Each experience helps to fund a ranger to run provide a nature education programme in local schools.
